Avery Dennison 6600 Series Translucent Sheeting for internally illuminated signs offers the unique properties of uniform light diffusion and retroreflectivity that creates striking highway, airport, or advertising signage with or without an internal light source.

The retroreflective properties create an economical "fail safe" in case of light or power source failure by providing superior reflectivity levels.

FAA

Required and specified by the FAA, internally illuminated signs mark the runways and taxiways of commercial airports across the United States. Avery Dennison 6600 Series Translucent Sheeting far exceeds the required combination of retroreflectivity and diffused light transmission outlined in FAA Specification AC 150/5345-44E. 6600 Series is the preferred choice for airport runway and taxiway signage across the U.S. and worldwide.

Highway

For internally illuminated highway and roadway guide signs, 6600 Series provides an always-present retroreflective backup in case of bulb or power failures. As automobilies approach guide signs, headlights illuminate the signage safely guiding motorists to their destinations, 6600 Series retroreflectivity exceeds requirements of ASTM D 4956, Type III sheeting.

Advertising

With uniform light diffusion, 6600 Series creates a smooth and attractive sign face on internally illuminated advertising signage. The tiled, multi-orientation prismatic construction creates a visually striking effect drawing attention to the advertising message, with lights on or off.

Construction

Avery Dennison 6600 Series Translucent Sheeting is constructed entirely of tough acrylics for long-lasting outdoor durability. Film thickness measures .009" (.23 mm) unmounted and .015" (.38 mm) when mounted. 6600 Series features a permanent, aggressive face-adhesive for easy mounting and application to either polycarbonate or acrylic mounting surfaces.
